1st Annual Research Day
News about the 1st Silicon in Agriculture, Annual Research Day.
It was
held at the KwaShukela Building of the SA Sugar Association on Tuesday, 4th
August 2009. This day was attended by 38 delegates from 10 different companies
(SASRI, Universities of KwaZulu-Natal and Pretoria, Dept. of Agriculture, Omnia,
PQ Corporation, UAP, Plant Bioregulators, Farmers Weekly, Altona Chemicals). The
programme consisted of a welcome by SASRI's Research Manager, Dr Charlie
Reinhardt and then 10 presentations on new and exciting research on silicon
within South Africa.
